About Us

Holy Trinity Armenian Church

On Palm Sunday of 2002, the Holy Trinity Armenian Church began its ministry for immigrants from Armenia, who reside in the North Hollywood area. The church provides a unique worship style mixing the traditional with the evangelical to better reach and communicate the Gospel to the Armenian community which comes from different backgrounds. Ultimately everything is done according to the scriptures and to the glory of God.

With much help and preparation of Rev. Berdj Djambazian and his TV program, the community learned about the church and its ministries. Rev. Ara and a group of faithful servants soon began to reach families with children and young people with Sunday School, Youth Group, and Bible Studies. We also started the Saturday School ministry teaching the Armenian language, history, and Christian Education (ages four to seventeen). Since then, we also have added classes for fine arts, chess club, dance, and later the Music School (for piano, violin, and voice).

In 2005 we obtained a California State licensed to operate a Preschool during the week serving 40 children (ages two through six). The demand was great and we applied for permission to accept 60 children; and currently we are attempting to add ten more students to our license (totaling 70).

In 2007 we were officially chartered as a church by PC-USA. In 2008 we were associate members with AEUNA, and in 2010 we became full members. We thank the Lord for the warm welcome portrayed by the Armenian Evangelical community: AEYF, Camp Arev, AMAA and AEUNA. Since then we have been actively involved in the mission of our sister organizations. We have supported Camp Arev by sending campers; supported Merdinian School by referring students and Rev. Ara partaking in chapel; supported AMAA’s mission to churches in Iraq, Syria, and Armenia (Rev. Ara led the 2012 AMAA Internship program in Armenia). HTAC also believes in AEUNA’s work and unity of our fellowship by participating in the local joint services and activities, and currently Rev. Ara serves on the Board of Directors of the AEUNA.
