HISTORY

Holy Trinity Armenian Church

On Palm Sunday of 2002, the Holy Trinity Armenian Church began its ministry for immigrants from Armenia, who reside in the North Hollywood area. The church provides a unique worship style mixing the traditional with the evangelical to better reach and communicate the Gospel to the Armenian community as well as non-Armenians. Ultimately everything is done according to the scriptures and to the glory of God.

With much help and preparation of Rev. Berdj Djambazian and his TV program, the community learned about the church and its ministries. Rev. Ara and a group of faithful servants soon began to reach families with children and young people with Sunday School, Youth Group, and Adult Bible Studies. We also started the Saturday School ministry in 2003 teaching the Armenian language, history, and Christian Education (ages 4-17).

In 2005 we obtained a California State licensed to operate a Preschool during the week.

In 2007 we were officially chartered as a church. In 2010 we were full members with the Armenian Evangelical Union of North America (AEUNA). We thank the Lord for the warm welcome portrayed by the Armenian Evangelical community: AEYF, Camp Arev, AMAA and AEUNA. Since then we have been actively involved in the mission of our sister organizations. We have supported Camp Arev by sending campers; supported Merdinian School by referring students; supported AMAA’s mission to missions and churches in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Armenia (Rev. Ara led the 2012 AMAA Internship program in Armenia). HTAC also believes in AEUNA’s work and unity of our fellowship by participating in the local joint services and activities, and Rev. Ara had the opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors of the AEUNA.

It was in 2008 the mission of HTAC expanded to non-Armenian speaking with establishing English Contemporary services and proving Adult Bible Study as well.

In 2011 we started the Sound of Music school offering lessons for piano, violin, and voice.

In 2020 (during the Covid 19 shutdown) the Lord led us to start Food Ministry (Bread of Life) and Homeschooling Ministry (HTAAcademy).
LOVE GOD. LOVE OTHERS.
